Default VTEC isn't hitting at all.

I've come across a problem with VTEC.. Originally my z6 swap was immaculate aside from the whole harness from the engine bay to the fire wall. replaced it all except had to use a d15 harness for the engine bay, so we wired up everything including VTEC and most of my problems were solved.(i.e. Speedo started working and the car ran smooth..) VTEC never hit with the original harness in before I swapped it out. I had a CEL before but that was because of an aftermarket water temp gauge that wasn't wired 100% correctly, and the Automatic lock-up solenoid, but my hatch is 5 speed, so I checked the ecu code and its an a52.

My only problem is still VTEC will not hit. I've heard things before about A/T ecu's not working for M/T cars on the topic of VTEC working. I was curious if that was a fact that an a52 will not work on a Civic Sohc Vtec m/t car?

Thanks ahead,

Jarreth
