Default VTEC Controler....

Hello,

I plan to buy A'PEX V-TEC AFC Digital V-TEC Controller, it's 340$;
http://www.modacar.com/product...AAPE/

Have few question about it;

- are there some bad sides of vtec controler?
- does vtec controler damage engine?
- to install vtec controler, must i have some other modification, or vtec controler can be installed on default engine setup?
- do you recommend vtec controler from some other brand?

I plan to buy DC Sports 4-1 Ceramic Header Systems together with controler, do you have some shop in USA to recommed, with good prices & delivery in 10 days?

Thanks for help....!

You can only add so much fuel with the AFC before you max out the MAP input voltage.

Use both or either an adj fuel pressure regulator or bigger injectors as needed to primarily increase fuel input and the VAFC to tone it down as necessary.

Of course, you won't know which items you'll need to use until you dyno the car with a wideband to have a look at your AFR's.

I happen to like the Apex'i unit the most. It's got a good interface with big, easy to use buttons and intuitive navigation.

Thnx on answer & help...

I see, D.I.Y. will not be able to install controler

Will find some Honda tuner near me, to install it. So, your suggestion is to put car on dyno before instalation, i hope that tuner now details about it

Sorry for stupid questions, but I'm totaly newbie about controler. If you have some link, or hint for instalation, thnx...

How much power you get on wheels, time on 1/4?

Thnx..

Field is US brand, or?

Before installing controler, is best solution to install complete exhaust (headers, pipes...)?

Or, if i install controler, set it up for my car, and then few month after put new exhaust... Do i must again setup controler?

You can install it any time but if your setup changes considerably you will need to go to the dyno again to get it back to optimum settings. So probably best to get some mods first.
I think Field is Japanese

Thnx...

I have read Apexi manual for V-AFC... In manual say that you can "adjust engagement point betwen 3000-7000 rpm"...

What i get when adjust engagement on 3k rpm? Can i damage engine?

What is best setup (engagement of vtec), for;

- track
- drag race 1/4
- higway

Sorry if I'm boring, but have a lot question, and cannot find answer on some other place

The only way to find the optimum engagement point is to get a professional to tune it on a dyno, then you'll probably want to leave it there all the time.
You wont notice any gains from having it as low as 3000
