vtec cams
vtec cams have three cam lobes, but arent the two outside ones the same and the middle is the vtec cam? at least this is the way i thought it was but i was looking at the zex catalog online and they have the cams listed with a primary secondary and vtec all with different specs. do they grind theres special with three different lobes http://zex.com/Technical/Curre...3.jpg?
The VTEC cams do have 3 lobes. One is Primary then MID (VTEC) and then secondary. The reason for the 3 different lobe specs is because they are different. The primary lobe and secondary lobes are for normal driving. VTEC is of course for power. The secondary lobe is for a "swirl" affect witch promotes better fuel milage.
