how to tell which is which?
ive got a CTR intake cam ( or so thay say )
but i how do you really tell if its CTR
and how can you tell if its exaust or intake

ctr has 2 rings on the side the distributor goes on. I'm not to sure about the exhaust side. Try looking at the tiiite boyee site.

how to tell from USDM 00/01 R' cams
its looks very close to JDM CTR cams

Ok on the big ring(see pic I have circled it) on the CTR cam there are two little bumps on at the top of the ring one at the bottom, the ITR cam does not have that.

Also, the intake cam has the key for the distributor, which isn't on the exhaust cam.

 

Look at the picture. It explains all. The exhaust cams are set up the same without the key.
