does anyone here know the specs of the cam???like duration and all that ..........

THE cam the comes in the engine. i guess if there is more then one v tec came what are the specs?


whenever the v-tec kicks in, what degree is the cam set at??

Which engine? There are several different Vtec engines & for the most part they all have different cams in them stock.

Your 2nd question makes no sense whatsoever to me. Perhaps I've just not had enough coffee.

ok heres an example....in my g60, i have a 260/268 degree cam. Once i hit 4k rpm, it drops to from 268 to 260(or the other way around)


does anyone have ANY specs on ANY vtec's at all??????????

i thought you might actrually NEED the info?!?!

here are the specs for a B16a camshafts (on VTEC lobe)

Duration 265/267, Dur @ .050" 219/214, Gross Lift w/1.55 .412/.379

if you had searched you would also have found this thread listing all the aftermarket cam spects too...

so in theory...the 260/268 cam is pretty much the same ...or same idea and function, as a vtec..

i was just wondering about that tho...thanks for the info.


i got the same name on the vortex in case you ever need any vw help...
actually if there are any guys in new jersey, or eastern PA. there is a honda/vw g2g organized coming up soon. reply back on this thread if you want some info on that .

alljapanese cam specs are usually listed at 1mm...

ahhh, further searching reveals that these no.s are allegedly at 0mm lift...

thefirst numbesr are total duration, the next numbers should be at .040
