my vtec is set at 5200 rpm's and sometimes there is some lag with it until like 7000 when it really opens up and sometimes it pulls all the way from 5200. and just recently it's not even pullin very hard from 7000 like it used to. u think it's my vtec solenoid or has someone else had this problem and has some suggestions?

 

throwing any codes??
It's either the vtec solenoid or the dizzy. check both.

 

no i'm not throwin any codes at all and it's weird cause it only does it sometimes, i'm confused, oh well i'll see what i can find out, thanks for the help

i would check your oil pressure.

 

for how simple that is i never thought about that, i have the autometer oil pressure gauge i just can't find any copper tubing to use to run it. i'll check it though, thanks again

 

forget the gauge. just check ya level. ill bet shes low

 

ur not trying to do this when the engine is cold are you?
