VSS speedo dont work

Default VSS speedo dont work
recently replaced my diff..put everything back together. started driving and speedo isnt working..took apart VSS and when my friend spins the end by hand the speedo works. but the way the he is spinning it is the opposite. so my VSS is spinning backwards?..any ever do anything like this before
