Default Viscous LSD issues in a high power FF set-up

I have about 270 fwhp and a viscous LSD in my tranny. When I am taking corners at any considerable speed (usually offramps), I get a fairly load sound which I had previously thought might be some suspension components rubbing (sway bar, bad bushings, etc.). However, today when I took an offramp at about 40mph in second gear and the sound is MUCH worse (louder) than it was when I shifted into third at the same time. This made me wonder if it was possible that this could be coming from the LSD. Thoughts?

You may need a flame suit for the bolded statement.

The differential speed is independent of the current gear selection. Were you accelerating?

No, not accellerating. As for the bolded statement, I am not sure why it is flame worthy. Thats really the only time that I am turning at speeds over 30mph. Good point about the differential speed being independent of gear. I wonder if it could be a tranny issue? The experience surely makes it sound like it is not merely suspension components...

Perhaps you have a bad mount on the engine or transmission. Shifting to a lower gear would have increased the forces on those mounts. It's just a thought.
