very URGENT help!!
I am in the process of changing my clutch. We have the tranny out and the flywheel off. I noticed that the crank seal behind the flywheel appears to be leaking a little bit. I have a seal in my hand right now, but I'm not sure how to change it. Does it just pop in and out or what? I really wanna change it since we are in there, but I dont want to mess up and have to take the whole thing apart again. PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE THE SEAL!!! Thanks!!!
Measure how far it sticks out. Be careful pulling it out not to gauge the crank, spend even more time putting it on, you will have to work it on slowly. Put some oil on it and the crank first to mak it easier. Put it on only as far as the other one was on.
Dear God I hate those seals.
When driving it in make sure you use a large section of pipe to apply the force directly to all the sides of the seal. You can't drive it in at an angle and then straighten it; it will leak.

do it right. remove the bottom end oil pan, pickup, and crank assembly. install it right and youll be much happier. do it wrong and u could make things much worse.
