Default valvespring question

Is a OBDII JDM b18c supposed to have dual valve springs on either intake or exhaust side stock?

When I changed my valve seals, my head only had outer valve springs on both sides...

Sorry... the archive search is still disabled

I thought that b18c's had dual valve springs on the intake side. Sounds like that motor has been apart before you got it.

I had a machine shop do a test to make sure everything seated alright... so there is supposed be an inner spring on the intake side?

Could it be a difference between the JDM b18c and the USDM b18c? Or am I missing some springs?

gsr motors have dual intake springs the same as the itr springs, so you can switch your intake springs to the exhaust side and buy itr intake springs and have the same setup as an itr

I can't speak for JDM B18C's, but USDM B18C1's have dual intake springs and single exhaust springs.

When I got my JDM B18c (GSR) from Hmotorsonline it had dual on the intake side and single on the exhaust. I replaced it with better ones so I know for sure it should have dual on the intake side. If you look on the lift and duration of any cam stock or jun3 the inteake cam is more demanding than the exhaust.
