valve stem seals ?
well im really frustrated about trying to find out why im burning oil in my 99 gsr it's got 115,000 miles on it and has 215 across all four cylinders as far as compression. i think im pretty sure it's my valve stem seals. can someone tell me how hard it would be to replace the seals, is there like a how to anywhere or can someone tell me kinda what im goona need to take off. any help would be appreciated. thanks
You need to take off everything to change the valve seals. It's very time consuming.
If your seals are bad, it will burn oil when you leave the engine in gear and decelerate. This creates maximum vacuum and oil gets sucked past the seals. You'll see blue smoke in your rear view.

The general theory is that bad valve seals will smoke upon start-up and upon deceleration (engine braking), but new data may prove otherwise...
