Listen Dude;
See this is what I love about forums.You have certain people that are awesome about helping people out,the majority of them on here are great.Then you have people like JDMC-Kamel that just want to give their opinions.
Brotha if you can't help me out than don't.I didn't ask what ya thought or give me your opinion.I need some help and thats what forums like this are for.I'm doing a build on a budget along with paying my mortgage,car payments,bills and my daughters newest thing(piano lessons) I can't always buy the best of the best!! So I'm sure someone on here either has this set up or is willing to help me out with more than just their opinion.Thanks

Hey "Buddy",
If you don't care about my problems then don't chime in with your pointless and might I say not helpful opinions.Find something else to do with your time than wasting mine.It works I just need help installing it.

I bought this thinking I would need it for my swap but will I need it even if I have my ecu programmed with Vtec?? Is this needed for Vtec to work or can I just use my p28 ecu move the Vtec engagement where I want it say 4500 rpm's and do without the controller or is it needed?????

I will help you out. put in crome on the search button and you will get all the knowledge you need. If your ecu is chipped, yes you can change your vtec engagement point.

I'm sure someone will say it, but you probably shouldn't mess with your vtec engagement point unless your doing dyno tuning to find the ideal point. Lower does not equal more power.

Assuming your swap is a b-series, you can get the stock p28 chipped to run a dohc motor or run crome or hondata. Chipping your stock p28 is probably your cheapest route, and I would recommend Kenji's chips. Think its around $100 shipped to get your p28 chipped. hope this helps.

no you don't. The vtec controller simply allows you to change the activation point. By no means is it ever a necessity. Do some searches, try "minime parts" or look in the faq's under 92-00 civics for a write-up about minime's if your wondering what is necessary.

wow, battle of the 06's

seriously, you probably do not need this device and more than likely will not gain anything from it. but i'll try to help anyways.

looks like there are only a few wires on there, my guess would be a few are power and ground, vtec in and vtec out, and an rpm. even it it didn't come with instructions it should tell you which wire is which. look up a diagram for your ecu and have at it. be sure to use good connectors or solder. hth

around 5500rpm depending on oil pres and other variables. The p28 runs the d16z6 anyways, which has vtec, so running a minime doesnt require a new program. Again, the vtec point does NOT need to be changed.
