Default Valve springs tool?

I wanted to swap my valves, valve springs and retainers. I did once borrowing a tool from my friend, its like one of those thing you hook up on top of the head and then you can compress the spring and use a pick to take out the keeper. But now I want to get one of my own, any1 know what is that tool called>? or where can I get it at?

Snap On sells a good one. It is just a Honda Valve Spring compressor...

These 2 are almost the same tools but cheaper:

I've been looking into replacing my springs/retainers also. Any tips? I looked at the factory manual and it looks like the valve keepers will be tricky to remove. I want to do this with the head still on and I don't want them to drop or lose the keepers.

I usually do it with a help from someone, while I carefully compress the spring the other person grab the keepers using a magnet. That usually work, but becarefull not to drop the keepers, its impossible to find it.

There's no readon you can't make your own compressor. I had been searching for one, but read in a magazine article about Team L'Natural using a compressor that they made themselves...and got to thinking about it. It's a really simple device.

You're doing this with the head on the car? Don't forget you need to pressurise the cylinder to stop the valves dropping down.

I was thinking of just rotating the crank and move the piston up to stop the valves from dropping all the way down.

I wouldn't do it that way. You'll find it very hard to compress the springs far enough to get the collets on. Remember that the valves don't normally go down that far. Braze an air fitting onto a cut-up old spark plug and hook a compressor up.
