Swapping valve springs from IN to EX
So, I'm doing my first engine rebuild and currently I'm putting together the head. I tried to keep everything organized and in order. But all that failed when I dropped my box with everything in it. After everything has been mixed together you can really notice the little differences between little parts like valve spring sizes and the stamps on the rockers. Anyway, I found out that it doesn't really matter where the rockers go as long as I properly adjust the valve lash. But when I was putting on the springs is where I messed up. Because the springs are different sizes I thought id put the bigger spring on the bigger valve. Turns out that's not true. According to BC, IN valve spring is 1.3" while the EX valve spring is 1.4". So I just wanted to know if I'm gonna to have to replace the springs to the correct side or if I can just leave them and hope for the best?
Thanks,

Spend the extra money on the actual tool. Saves so much time, makes things much easier, especially for future work, than swap your intake and exhaust valve springs.
