Default valve spring question...

I have a 1995 gs-r and I wanted to upgrade the cams to CTR/ITR spec. I was thinking of upgrading to Crower springs and retainers so if I decide to upgrade to more agressive cams later I wouldn't have to worry about the springs and retainer.
my first question is if I upgrade to ITR springs and retainers, would I only need the springs for the intake side? I heard I can just move my gs-r intake springs to the exhaust side.

second question is if I chose to go with the Crower springs and ITR/CTR cams for now, would the Crowers be overkill for the cams? and would there be any danger to my motor?

1. You heard correctly. GSR intake & ITR exhaust valve springs are the same.

2. Not overkill, no danger.
