Default GSR valve spring question?

Does the GSR come with dual intake valve springs?

Comes with both dual intake and exhaust springs.

Springs are only good for stock cams. Any performance cam including ITR cams require upgraded springs.

Hate to pick this bone with you but the GSR only has single springs on the exhaust side. The intake double springs are the same as exhaust on ITR. I have two sets of these single springs since I have had two P72 heads True, with the ITR or CTR cams, you will need to upgrade springs to see any further mods. Revving past 8500 is a bad idea on stock retainers as well even with the ITR springs. If you purchase ITR intake springs and Ti retainers and have them installed with the ITR cams, you will like that very much, you can move down your GSR intake springs. Tom at Portflow frowns on this and uses ITR yellows all around with his static rate inner spring, however hes spinning 9500+ on 12mm lift cams at the exhaust valves. Depends on need. If you want reliable 9K operation ITR valvesprings and Ti retainers on up to 255 11.8mm intake cam and 250 11mm exhaust cam should be fine Remember since the exhaust valves close later than TDC the contact if any is always with the EX side first. Ask me how I know hehe. Hope this helps. After running the ITR yellow/CTR cams/portflow inners with skunk2 ti retainers setup and having problems with the head and block, I returned this head to the ITR x 32 valvesprings, GSR cams and Ti retainers on the GSR stock valves. When I go to the Skunk2 stage 1s, I may pull the head and have ITR intake valves installed with new stem seals and install the portflows on the exhaust side only to help with any possible valve float.

breathe... spew... repeat

Thanks for the correction. I have a B16 head apart and it has dual springs on both intake and exhaust. I also have a GSR head but haven't pulled it apart yet and thought it had the same springs.

B16 springs can't handle very much lift and have pretty low spring pressure so running these things is not a good idea if you have access to good springs.

I have one and all my racer friends want it but the GSR heads are like gold. They are bad *** heads.
