Default Valve Seal

I only puff smoke under acceleration after about 5k when I let off the gas to shift to the next gear. It doesnt puff smoke when I start it up (cant really tell becuase of the cold weather here). Is there anyway to test if it is the valve seals? How much should a shop charge to replace the valve seals? If it cost to much might think about getting a b20 or something.

I would go ahead and just buy another LS head than replace valve seals on stock head.

I could do it in about three hours, the hard part after disassembling the head from motor and taking everything out is getting the actual seals out as they do not make a tool i consider good enough for the task. your motor must be really beat or must have overheating probs for them to go.

if your valve seals are leaking, they tend to cause smoke at idle
and other high vacuum situations.
