Valve Lash Causing Scary Noise???
Could valve lash out of adjustment cause a high pitched rattle, especially at high rpm? The sound is similar to banging two bolts together...

I would look carefully for a broken spring or retainer etc...Simply being out of adjustment would not make any rattling noise.It's usually just noisy at idle.

The head is freshly rebuilt by Endyn with new valves & springs, and I was used to the loud (clicking) valvetrain, but I'll pull the valve cover tomorrow and see what's going on...
