Icon6 Valve cover bolt help

Ok well I'm new to this site. And I really need your guys help. well I have a 97 Honda civic vitara built d16y8. The other day I noticed that my valve cover bolt located between the 2nd and 3rd spark plug was leaking oil when I began to remove the bolt it jus came right out like it wasn't screwed in I thought that maybe the bolt was stripped but come to find out were the valve cover bolt screws into the head it has been been broken almost completly of due to bein overly tight I don't think there is any room 4 it to be re drilled cuz there anit much left so what are my options to get it fixed anything will help thank you guys

drill out broken. put in new. or give up and build new engine.

Would it be easier to put a new head on it or do I just need a new engine

The bolts fine man it's not stripped or anything it's jus were the bolt screws into the head to hold the valve cover. It's cracked bad wit no room to screw in bolt or drill out. So idk what to do car still runs fine but leakes oil due to not tightened valve cover bolt..........?

Ka man I have an extra y8 head so that shouldn't be to hard I hope then jus tighten everything down to specs this time right

sorry i was refering to the end product being the whole engine assembly but yes you can put in a new head if you chose the give up route I gave ya. So send that new head to the machine shop for some serious work before you slap it on

Im jus gonna replace the cam cap alot cheaper haha
