valve clearance w/ ctr pistons in a gsr?
hey guys i am wondering if i put .25mm o.s. ctr pistons in my gsr will there be enough valve clearance? my head is slightly milled due to when i had a blown head gasket they machine shop told me they had to mill the head a little bit because it was slightly warped...this was almost over a year ago. also would i have to update my valvetrain just for the pistons? would i be able to use 91 octane? i have used the searc function and cant get a straight answer for these.
any help would be appreciated ,
thx

I would think around 12.1:1 would be more accurate. But that depends on a few other things.
Is 91 the highest octane you have in your area?

well actually there is 100 octane gas too at certain gas stations around my city, but its not to bad only like 3 bux a gallon for 100 oct! do you think i could mix the 100 oct say 3 gallons of that plus mix another 6 gallons of 91 oct to create a full tank for my gsr? are u asking this because of detonation possibilities?

No, I was just wondering if you have 92 or 93 and just wanted to go cheap and get the 91 or something like that..
You can run the 91 octane if you are tuned well enough. Do you have any plans for a fuel controller, or programable ecu, like Hondata?

no i was not aware that i would need a hondata just for pistons? would a vafc work? i might get one of those, or would hondata be alot better?
well you don't NEED it.. but you can avoid detonation with good tuning.
a vafc would work.. but yes, hondata would be much better.
