I set it all the time without angled feeler gauges. any feeler gauges will do. just make sure you have the correct specs for the motor.

If you need a valve tappet wrench, search on Amazon.com.

No. On VTEC heads (if that is what you have), it is difficult to adjust the set screw and lock the jam nut. The valve tappet tool eases that issue. You still need the feeler gauges.

Recently i did a valve adjustment on my b16 for the first time. At sears I bought a set of angled feeler gages and a cheap 10mm box wrench for $10.

Modified the wrench and adjusted the valves. I used this link to get the job done.

Perfect! My local Canadian Tire (like autozone but generally better) carries this brand. It's all cheap stuff but for something like this it doesn't matter. It'll get used maybe 10 times a year if I do it for a few friends so there's no chance in hell I'll buy crap-on for 3 times the price.

Not to threadjack, but can anyone recommend some good feeler guages? Plastic or metal? Are the expensive ones any better than cheap ones?
