feeler gauge questions for valve adjustment
i have a set of straight feeler gauges as opposed to angled. cant i just bend these set of feeler gauges at a 45 degree angle and use them for a valve adjustment? how far should the bent part of the feeler gauge be (cam lobe and lifter side)?
also, how do you bend a craftsman 10mm wrench? it looks like it will just break if i try bending it. heating it maybe, or should i just give it a try and bend it?
TIA.

Re: feeler gauge questions for valve adjustment (spidermancivic)
be better if you could heat it.
might be better to get the bended ones if you can find them.
i think if you bend the ones you have now, you may not have enough room for you to move it around. you can't just bend it slightly cause then when your moving the feeler guage, it could be making the adjustment too big cause of the angle your moving the feeler guage. hope you understand what i'm saying.
they are only like 2 bux, just go get the right ones.
