Default Valve clearance D16z6

Im going to be checking/adjusting the valve clearances on my Z6 soon and I found these specs:

Valve Clearance
Stock D16A6,D16Z6 and D16Y8 Cams
Intake.....007-.009" (.17-.22mm)
Exhaust...009-.011" (.22-.27mm)

Now those are ranges, is it better to set the clearances on the high end of those numbers, low end of those numbers, somewhere inbetween? Any advice on which, and why would be great, thanks!

I usually adjust them to the tight side of spec just so I don't have to do it again as soon.

Make sure you adjust them at 100F or kinda hot to the touch. Make them tight. The tighter the lash the better. If it is to tight you will not make any compression in that particular cylinder. You will notice a bit of peace of quiet and maybe feel the HP gain.

Do you mean 100 degrees or less, like Honda recomends?

Well heat expands cold contracts. So if you can get the medium you are better off. The spec valve lash is for the regular mechanic.
