Default valve chatter?

when my motors ideling i hear a real fast ticking noise? whats the noise and is it normal that gsr motors do that. i also hear it when im accelerating also.

could it also be the lifters? and when you adjust the valves what is it that your actually doing to the them when adjusting

The only "lifters" in a gsr head are the lost motion assemblies.These do fail on occasion but it is most likely the valves are out of adjustment.A valve adjustment is adjusting the gap between the tip of the rocker arm and the tip of the valve stem.
