valve adjustment and oil burning

is there any correlation between valves that need to be adjusted and rising oil burning/consumption??

sounds like valve seals.

sorry to bring this back from the dead but i am burning a half quart of oil about every 500 miles on a built ls block with stock ls head. The head is due for a valve adjustment would this cause the burning of oil?
