exhaust smoke but no performance problems???
my brothers acura was wrecked we got it back engine runns great so we put it into a civic now when it getts almost to the rev limiter about 6500 rpm's it dumps smoke out the exhaust .the civic that we got was wrecked and the engine doesnt sit level could that be the cause of the smoke any info will be helpfull and appreciated
what color smoke?
white=burning coolant (Probably headgasket)
black=running to rich (do you smell a heavy gas smell when it smokes?)
blue=oil getting in the combustion chamber and burning with the fuel (Could be spark plug tube seals, piston rings, etc)

i had one blow without getting milky, the part near the water jacket into piston blew and allowed it to happen
well i forgot to put the pcv valve in because where it goes through the intake manifold it ripped off so i just ran a peice of hose and today when i put the pcv back in it didnt smoke hardly at all ,but i didnt drive it either so i dont know if that was the prob .but if it wasnt, compresion test would be the only way to find out without tearing into it
well i went and drove it and it didnt smoke but will let you know what happens after i go to sac raceway this wednesday thanx for your info
