what color smoke?

white=burning coolant (Probably headgasket)
black=running to rich (do you smell a heavy gas smell when it smokes?)
blue=oil getting in the combustion chamber and burning with the fuel (Could be spark plug tube seals, piston rings, etc)

well i forgot to put the pcv valve in because where it goes through the intake manifold it ripped off so i just ran a peice of hose and today when i put the pcv back in it didnt smoke hardly at all ,but i didnt drive it either so i dont know if that was the prob .but if it wasnt, compresion test would be the only way to find out without tearing into it
