Default valve adjustment concern

I was adjusting my valve for the fisrt time today. I left the plugs in. When i was turning the crank it was hard to turn but made A light hissing sound like it was letting pressure out. Is this normal.

hey! valve adjustment is done every 30k miles, if valves clearance is too tight it could cause you to burn your valves or it could cause a misfire. And the hissing noise is normal.

the pressure was from leaving your plugs on, if you did it without the plugs it would of been easier.
