VAFC w/ nitrous?
Ok, for the past months i have been debating whether to go VAFC II or Hondata. I will be doing a very mild NA build up with an NX (wet) 75 shot of nitrous.
I know the pros and cons to both systems, I know you can tune ignition timing with hondata, and i know hondata has nitrous control (although it wont help me, im not using a dry kit), but i am still a bit torn.
has anyone used a VAFC to tune while on the bottle? Am i just deluding myself, should i just take the plunge and get hondata? or is there really some way that the vafc can help me both on and off nitrous?
thx for any replies =]

GET A MSD SCI IGNITION SYSTEM IT HAS THE ABILITY TO ADVANCE TIMING ONLY WHEN UR HITTING NITROUS AND WHEN U STOP SHOOTING IT RETARDS THE TIMING BACK TO STOCK
first off, why post in all caps?????
second thing, you DO NOT ADVANCE the timing while spraying.
If you do your motor/car does this.........
focking clueless newbies!!!!

Only thing the VAFC is going to help with is fuel. But you said you're running wet, so that doesn't matter.
Go with Hondata if you must, but my real opinion would be to get a clue and chip your ecu, modify your factory script using a hex editor or one of the numerous free rom editors specifically wrote for obd1 honda maps, and save a TON of money.

The actual hondata controls are only around $215. You wont need any of the options available with it so if I were you I would spend the extra $150 getting hondata and tuned rather than $300 on a vafc that isnt gonna do anything but help with fuel

ok i dunno wtf is up with the hostility, i have been reasearching the proper precautions for my nitrous setup for some time now.
in terms of nitrous precautionary equipment, right now i have:
msd digital 6, blaster 2 coil
should i have it retard 2 degrees when spraying a 75 shot?
ACT HDSS clutch/Fidanza flywheel
not really to tune, but as a precaution to the new power
AEM FPR/ STR Fuel Rail/ Walbro 255lph fuel pump
i think that should pretty much take care of the fuel system? my stock injectors are pretty beefy compared to most...
NGK colder plugs, havent thrown them in yet but i will when i get my kit installed.
and of course, I/H/E and other goodies...
anything else i am missing? comments? critiscisms?
so i guess the vafc cant really tune on the bottle, since the jets will kind of regulate the fuel, is that what some of you are trying to say?
