i have a D16 v-tec with a non v-tec computer should i get a vafc or should i get a new computer with v-tec? which would be better

 

what car do you have? yr? model? what EXACT engine code do you have? and what ECU do you have?

BOTH,

gettin a vfac with a non vtec ecu will no accomplissh much,
get the right ecu first then tuneing it afterwards will be very benificial

 

i have a 89 crx whit a d16 non v-tec ecu i dont no the codes

 

so you have a D16Z6 or Y8. However you are using a non-vtec p30 or something right. You should just get a vtec ecu for 100 bucks. however you can also get a used vafc for 200 and use it to turn on VTEC while still using your non-vtec computer. ( and don't say it can't be done b/c me and my friend wired one up )

 

It's better to get the right ecu first, and then get the vafc later if you want to tune your air/fuel and vtec crossover.
