VAFC Sensor Setting

VAFC Sensor Setting
My buddy set up my VAFC claiming he knew how to do it, however I have been going through the manual comparing it to the settings he used.
Under "Sensor # Entry" he has "In 01 Out 01" the manual seems to say it should be "In 06 Out 06" but I wanted to confirm this with someone who has VAFC setup experience before I change it.
Car is EG w/00 Si B16 OBD1 wiring P28 ecu if it matters. VAFC is the original one not the VAFCII.
