Default VAFC rev limiter?

Is there a rev limiter setting on the VAFC? I'm trying to help my buddy out. His car is rev limiting at 8000rpms. It's a 97 gsr with stock p72 and VAFC. If there is a rev limiter, somebody please enlighten me as to how to change it. Thanks in advance.

nevermind. . . after poking through a couple random posts in the archive right before I almost gave up I found out the answer. Looks like a wire is loose somewhere. Would it be a bad idea to reinitialize the VAFC and drive with it like that? Or should I have him remove it all together?

i would check all your connections, and then intialize and set it up so he can just drive it don't attempt to tune it. There is NO rev limiter function on the v-afc
