Default VAFC Problem..

Hooked my VAFC in my 2000 gsr.. When Im driving everything will be fine, Vtec will engage exactly wherei set it, car idles perfect and everything.. But sometimes if im crusing or on it the car wont rev past 5k. ex: If im at like 7k in 4th gear it will just drop down to 5 and not be able to accelerate.. I have to turn the car off and turn it back on and everyting will be ok until it happene again.. Anyone ever have this problem before?? I checked all connections everything is ok.. Any ideas or info on what my problem is would be greatly appreciated.. TIA..

That's why you have to get it tuned and dynoed. If setting up your VAFC was that easy, everyone would be doing it.

I understand that.. I just want to get everything right b4 the hack and turbo.. I have stock injectors so everything is set to Zero across the board.. I just wanted to get familiar with it b4 I put the 450's in.. Believe me once everything is in it will be dyno tuned.. Thanks for the reply.. any other ideas??

Just make sure your settings are neutral. I have a slight dip around 2 grand but pull consistenly all the way to 6 grand, anything after that and I start to loose TQ. If you want, recheck your settings, after you get the 450's get it tuned, and if you have an FPR, even better results. You won't really notice anything or gain any numbers without some type of Dyno graph and good tuning.

Yeah I just wanted to get everything running perfect like how I had it before the VAFC install, I was ot looking for any power gains at this point.. Nother thing that I notice was before the VAFC you could hear the secondaries open at like 4500 and then the vtec engage at around 5800.. Now all i have is vtec engaging where i set it at.. Im just confused. i have to double check everything.. Thanks though..

Sounds like you may have a bad solder connection. Look over your connections.
