Default vafc problem

I wired in my vafc2 to my civic which is b18c1 and after initial setup i cranked it the car ran like ****. It idled rough and when i eased it down the road it wanted to bog at about 3000 rpms. After that it felt ok and vtec and everything engaged fine. It also was smoking more than normal out of the exhaust at idle. I initialized the vafc twice cause it did come off another kids car but it still runs rough any suggestions and i have already searched?

Do you have your sensors set as 6 in and 6 out? I never really messed with those but I remember reading that was one of first things you should do before you start the car. Also that was for a VAFC 1 but I would think they both have that.

yea i checked all of those and it still isnt running right, i unhooked the pressure signal and the vtec signal (and wired them back together like they are stock) and just unplugged the clip on the vafc so i could run everything normal and the car is fine. I then hooked up just the plug to the vafc (my pressure signal is not run through the vafc nor the vtec signal) and everything is fine. I figure it probably isnt due to the vtec signal so would the pressure signal have something to do with this problem? Maybe i have something wired in wrong i will check again.

Do you have the apexi vafc2 cause thats the one I have. Dont you have the manuals and instal instruction that came with it? If not I do and can send you some info. The wiring diagrams are weird but I was able to get it so let me know.

Wat you have to do is:
Check to ensure that you read the install diagram closely.
It will confuse the heck out of you if you don't pay attention to the 2 wires that you have to cut in half. I know that one of them is going to be used like half goes to one color wire, and the other half goes to the other. It's been a while but I think that should solve your problem. Also once you have taken those steps, make sure you initialize it, and start from scratch.
