VAFC owners
Hi, today I was just reving the car in neutral and I reved it past VTEC crossover point a couple of times. On my VAFC it showed only VTo as "on" but VTi was "off"
Aren't both of them meant to be "on" when reving it past VTEC point in neutral?
I also noticed when driving, there is a slight lag between VTo "on" and VTi "on"
My VAFC is running initialized settings so its running stock spec. Shouldn't both VTi and VTo come on at the same time???
Im puzzled.
Cheers

Hmm so the VAFC is running initialized specs so the VTo kicks in at 5800rpm. Shouldnt the ECU be kicking VTEC in at 5800rpm as well?
Oh Ive got a B16a

No the vafc takes over the vtec engagement point activation. so all that really matters is vto... the ecu still tries to turn on vtec at the stock setting but it wont, (fuel curves ignition timing... or whatever other ecu changes to the engine still occur however) except the vtec lobe being put to work on the cam.
