Default VAFC Help...

I set it up just like the manual says. For some reason when I step on the gas all the way with the car off, it reads 9 on the throttle. Is this normal? Shouldn't it be going all the way to 10 for WOT? What do I need to do the fix this? DO i need to reinitialize and do the 10 sec no thorttle/10 WOT?

checked them all.... everything is fine. Maybe the throttle cable is not in the right spot? I dunno, I saw the vafc when I open the throttle from the engine bay it will go up to 10 but when I get in the car and step on it, it goes to 9

My friends says 0 at WOT and 10 at no throttle, so consider yourseld lucky, you are at least closing to being right than he is.

If it goes to 10 when you open the throttle body from the engine bay but not when you step on the gas try tightening up the throttle cable some.

did you have anyone press the pedal while you were looking under the hood to see if the throttle body opened to the same position as when you open it with your hand? If it does, then I guess it must be something electrical.

No I havent checked that out yet. I think its just the cable since I did a mini me swap. I tried adjusting the cable but it gets worse. Maybe its just the way the cable is set up. I may need to set it up differently?
