Is it true the final outcome for the vafc I shouldn't expect more than 2-3 whp gain on a B16a with i/h/e/cat/msd and gude ecu? Is this for reals and I just wasted my money?

 

Well peak gain is not as important as gains across the entire powerband, which is one of the benefits you're probably leaving out...some people make big gains in the VTEC crossover area by changing the switch point and fixing the fuel...while peak gain looks impressive on dyno charts, the midrange gain will show on the road.

what's good for efficientcy on the powerband? 2-3whp increase? I'm running a J1 ls tranny on my b16a with bolt ons and for some reason i always get pulled on in 1st and 2nd but pickup in 3rd. Should i invest in a b16 S1 tranny instead of other boltons?
