Using Synthetic oil when breaking in a motor?
when your on the break in stage of your built motor should you run non synthetic till its broke in then start using synthetic or does it matter?
is better to break the new engine with mineral oil and then after 3k or 5K miles (can't remember which one) you switch to synthetic. WHY? well, because parts have to wear according to each engine, and a synthetic oil doesn't let this happend, so you run mineral oil and then switch to syn.

also engine builders(Import builders, Exospeed, JG, ect tell you not to use syntetic untill about 1,000 miles)
I've heard that non-detergent oil is even better than regualr non-synthetic for breaking in. If you can, get a non-detergent 30W oil.
