Default Using rotella t is it safe?

I know this topics been brought up already and I searched I'm still not sure though if its safe to use. My b18c1 was rebuilt about about 6000 miles ago I know the rings should already be seated but for some reason I am burning oil. The motor was rebuilt with cp pistons 9.1 eagle rods. The head was clean with all new oem gaskets and valve seals replaced. This guy that dyno my car told me to try rotella t 15w 40 oil for an oil change and that might help with it burning it off. I know its diesel oil and a totally different weight. So I'm just a little worried and I want to make sure its ok to use just for one oil change and if it will help my oil burning problem.

i ran it in my H for a while, no issues, but i don't see how it would help, you generally use diesel oil for its detergents
