Icon3 Usdm vs jdm

when parting together a swap (ls/vtec) should i be concerned with focusing on getting jdm this or that, or will i get the same affect?
example: if i got the jdm b16 head would it be the same as a usdm?
or a jdm b16 tranny vs usdm b tranny?

also, can i mix and match jdm and usdm parts?

notice the word TOGETHER, forgive that fact that i used the word parting, instead of piecing!! everyone else seemed to have understood it!

anyway...

when you say better do you mean quality or performance wise?

JDM B16 Pistons(P30) have a higher compression than USDM B16 Pistons. The LS pistons suck unless you're turboing.
There are a lot of factors though that will determine performance like ECU's. Some of the JDM ecu's vtec is at 4200 I believe while USDM are 4800. Correct me if I'm wrong

one thing to be careful of is reving it to high. the ls bottom end isn't meant to spin at B16 speeds due to its longer stroke. go into the 92-00 civic fourm and look under the faqs. you'll find links to diff LS/VTEC swaps and info.
