I have B18C1 motor and run eagle H beam with ACl bearing..

what's the ideal rod journal to bearing clearances ?

Also, I founded the torque specs on the rod bolt to 28ft/lb tque, Can anyone confirm ?

from helms manual:

b18b rods 23 lb-ft / clearance specs .0008 - .0015 (.0020 service limit)
b18c rods 33 lb-ft / .0013 - .0020 (.0024 service limit)

b18b mains all 56 lb-ft

b18c 1, 5 caps are 56 lb-ft
b18c 2,3,4 caps are 49 lb-ft

29 ft/lbs is the correct torque spec for eagle rods.

and you might as well just tighten them down because even if you are out of spec with ALC bearings you have no other choice but to use them because the only come in one size.....
