Hey ppl,
Need some help/advice. I have a small crack(about 2.5") in my front bar(stock) and since its not visible when the lights are in the bar I'm going to try to fix it myself(needs to be fixed so the bar can be painted). I looked into plastic welding but found that it was only for hard plastics. So I was thinkin more along the lines of 'urethane putty' but I'm not sure how it works and what sort of prep work need to be done before.
Just after some general advice, hints, tips or any other alternative suggestions.
Thanks

whats up man, most of the people here are from the US, and dont know that "BAR" means "bumper".
just a heads up before people come in here all pissed off.

on the backside of the damage sand around the crack about 3" on either side with some 80 grit, then use some tape out the outside to get the shape correct and then use some fusor 142 plastic glue or equivelent on the area sanded.
once thats dry remove your tape on the outside and grind the crack down on each side and make about a 1/2" "V" shape where the crack is. put more 142 in the crack and use a spreader to even it out.
after thats dry sand it all with some 80 grit on a da and then use some flexible bondo made for bumpers to do the cosmetic work to smooth it all out. finish that off with 180 grit and then use some flexible primer on the repair area and send it off to paint if it looks good.
