Yes, it is a chipped ecu with program by John Vega at phearable.net. The Bosch O2S is brand new with only 600 miles on it. I used Crome to enable the O2S because orignally John disabled it. Did you figure out what would be causing this?

Remains unsolved for me... my car is off the road for the winter, getting pretty much a full engine rebuild, hopefully that fixes it

What happens when you disable the O2?

Not sure what happens, supposely I should run without an O2S enabled because of John's dedicated map. But my MPG is going way down so I enabled it to see if I save some gas. I rarely get on the freeway so I havent had a chance to try with it disabled.

Can you try an actual OEM distributor?

If you enable closed-loop operation, does anything happen?

Are you running launch control in uberdata? My car had an issue similar to what you're describing but it would only be at whatever the launch rpms had been set to. Disabled launch control and it works perfect now.

I don't know anyone with an OBD1 VTEC B-series distrib unfortunately

I've tried enabling closed-loop, no change! To me that says it's not a fuel problem (all the plugs look the same across the board).

I also bypassed the MAP and TPS signal wires and ran them directly to the ECU, no difference.

ProductionS14, I am running launch, yes... I think your problem is having the MPH for launch disable set too high (if you have it set to the actual MPH your car will be moving, you'll always have a stutter until launch is disabled). If you have it set too high you won't be able to get past that RPM until you shift to 2nd

So I resoldered all my connections on the chipped ECU and also got a slight retune. My ECU gave me code 0 the other day so I did the whole ECU again. I think that might had been the problem. If you have a chipped ecu, try to resolder everything again. I dont seem to have the problem anymore.. Hopefully it wont come back

Back to life!

Just installed a pistons/rods LS/VTEC with a rebuilt head. Used a map that runs perfectly on my brother's LS/VTEC, and the old 240cc injectors. SAME DAMN STUTTER. It is non-turbo right now. Basically it should run exactly as my brother's does, only his runs like butter, and mine runs like a turd.

I'm going to go kill someone now

Tonight I will swap to another main relay, I've already tried a known-good chipped ECU out of my brother's car. I found adding a buttload of fuel helped, but I can't drive around at 12:1 a/f, especially during break-in. Shoot me please.

Have you read the hesitation thread on Uber's site?

There's a few... the 3500 rpm one or the one with the fix that 91crxsi posted? I will try the fix from 91crxsi tonight, thanks!

Or ****, maybe I'll just switch to Crome right now. I have everything installed already, even stock injectors... I'll try that too.

if everything is stock.. can you try a OEM ecu... that will tell u if the ecu has anything to do with it..

Do you have a vacuum leak?
do you have fuel pressure.. and supply

i have seen 3 cases of installing the fuel line back on to the fuel rail.. with the banjo facing the wrong way... at it will cause the fuel psi to be there.. but not the volume... just trying to shine some light ..

is your vavle lash set?

Yeah, that's the thread. The stutter / hesitation at 10inHg. I have the same problem. I didn't really notice it until I cruised on the freeway doing 70mph. Now that I know what to look for I can notice it going 55, though it's not as bad. Seems to get worse the higher rpm you are. But it only does it at the 10inHg area.

I tried the fix you mentioned, the one on PGMFI.org's site. It didn't do squat for me. If it works for you let me know, maybe I did something wrong. Because of this glitch, I'm going to try CROME later this summer. Other than that one problem, Uberdata has been awesome.

Thanks for the posts guys...

For the love of all that is holy, it is FIXED!!!

It started doing it (finally) just idling in the garage while I was troubleshooting, after I'd swapped MAPs, main relays, capped off all the vacuum ports on the IM, a few other things too...

My brother suggested pulling plug wires until it didn't change how the car idled, seeing as it was now a consistent miss. #1 pulled, the car almost died. #2 pulled, the car almost died. #3 pulled... no change. Swapped cap and plug wires with my brother's car, same thing. The fuel injectors were up next... had power at the resistor box, continuity to the box, but no continuity through to the ECU. Tapped another wire onto that wire and ran the new bypass wire straight through to the molex plug and BAM, the car runs and idles beautifully.

This whole time it's been a bad joint somewhere in the harness, intermittently making and losing connection. And to think some people told me to ignore it, that it was just something Uberdata "did"

Finally fixed... thanks everyone, time to start breaking this bitch in!

Awesome you got it fixed!

I was under the impression it ran fine other than cruising. I didn't know it did it at idle. I should have read more.

So does that mean you don't have the cruising hesitation problem?

The problem was so temperamental and off-and-on that it didn't always do it at idle, which made the diagnosis very difficult This was really the first time it was a continual series of misfires. I'm guessing putting the new engine in stressed whatever joint it was far enough to break the connection totally.

I still don't understand why it always smoothed up at WOT, though. It boosted and drove great at WOT.

I'll be cruising the car around shortly during break in so I'll let you know if it hesitates (it's not insured right now) and very shortly it will be on Crome... soon as I figure out why Crome doesn't want to work on my laptop
