UhOh, I broke it.....
I have a non-Honda that I need help with. To make a long story short, I was going through the drive thru at McDonald's when all of a sudden, something went "pop" and the stick became very, very loose. The clutch still shows resistance when I press the pedal, but the stick is flopping around and won't engage in any gear. Luckily, when a cable (I assume) snapped, it was still in 1st gear, so I was able to drive it at 15 mph down the street and park it in a safe spot. It will not come out of first. It doesn't matter whether the car is on or off, the stick flops around with no resistance. What should I do?? I have to go to work and take my son to school tomorrow...
Any help/ideas appreciated.

sounds like something in the linkage broke... You're going to have to inspect it or get it inspected... and most likely replace a part...
Without being able to see it or even know what kind of car it is, it's not likely anyone's going to be able to help you.
