uberdata/ wideband questions??
I am looking into getting uberdata and im wondering...
1. can you do a full tune on the engine( from what ive read you cant)
2. if you cant is it even worth gettin a wideband.... or will the tuner have the necessary things to be able to get tuned
3. what do i need besides uberdata to have someone else tune my car ... (besides adjustable fpr, cam gears etc. ) as far as componentry
thanks

1) Define what you mean by "full tune". I haven't used uberdata all that much, as I prefer the interface of Crome, but you can tune every portion of the maps, including the boost additions, with uberdata just fine.
2) If you are going to take the car to a dyno to get it tuned, don't worry about the wideband. They will have one at the dyno that they will use, and once it is tuned, it's done, so aside from peace of mind, there's no real reason to have one. If you're going to tune it on the street, though, you need a wideband.
3) Once again, I haven't used uberdata a whole lot, but the "latest" version supposedly supports the Ostrich emulator from moates.net. This allows you to change the rom as the car is running, without having to burn a new chip or cycle the key or any of that stuff. I'm not sure how well it works with uberdata, but I use Crome on my car and it's flawless. But to answer your question, to get the ecu where you want it, you'll need to chip it, add datalogging and get an emulator and a program that supports it.
What type of car/ecu do you have?

by full tune i mean adjusting ignitin timeing and cam timing along with the fuel and ignition maps
right now i have and obd-0 crx with b16 and an obd-0 pr3.. im planning on getting a p28 already chipped for whatever program i end up deciding to use..
btw i just posted a new topic, which people could possibly help everyone that is looking to get starte dinto tuning out a litle bit
thanks

You can adjust ignition timing with any of the rom editors, but unless you have I-VTEC, there's not a whole lot the ecu can do about the cam timing.
