Default Type-R valvetrain in a ls head?

I was wondering does type-r valve train fit in a ls head. Also, is this a decent upgrade to the ls valvetrain since I hear it is easy to float a valve with the stock ls valve train. I am not looking to soar into the high high rpms, maybe up to 8000 at MOST. Thanks

I'm not sure if it'll work but I'm pretty sure that ITR valve springs aren't that stiff because the valves are lighter than in an LS.

ITR valve springs are made to withstand high RPM's, and therefore need to be pretty stiff to prevent floating. I don't know if they'll fit but if they do it would be a nice upgrade to have. I know they have a twin coil design and they kinda oval in shape on the coils. I would highly doubt that the LS valves are stiffer.

well i have never mic'ed them but just from looking at them (the heads together) I would say that the type r's would not sit in the valve seat due to the circumfrance of the spring.

Just get something like the crowers.

The LS crank can't handle high RPMs. If you want to rev super high get a TypeR engine.

no they will not fit. The diameter of the vtec springs are slightly larger.
