Type R sway bar appears small
I bought a type r sway bar from acura to install on my 89 CRX Si, but when i got it i realized that it won't just bolt in.
more importantly, it appears that the type r sway bar is not thicker than the stock crx si sway bar. it appears to be the same thickness... did they sell me the wrong sway bar?
How the hell?
it appears i will have to move the "D" brackets to the subframe.
as you see here in these pictures, the stock location of the crx sway bar bushings is toward the rear of the car on an L bracket:

and here is the type r sway bar installed. you can see the difference in bushing bracket locations

where do i find the proper hardware to reinforce the subframe and make this install happen? i dare not simply drill holes and put bolts and washers onto the subframe because of tear out chances. beaks doesn't make a reinforcement kit, though they are popular for other chassis.
