what obd1 ecu would you use if i was to put a 98-2000 b18c5 into a eg?

what harness is the best to use to use? i know it's obd2 so if i use obd1 harness will the car pass smog and emissions? or just use the type r harness and use a jumper cable after smog. cali sucks

You have to use the same harness that comes with the motor, by that I mean, if your motor is OBD-2, then you must use the same OBD-2 harness. ECU jumpers will not fly with the refs if you're trying to get the CARB sticker. Cali sucks!!

use your stock harness and add the vtec wiring, knock sensor. But if you use the obd1 p28 chipped then you won't need to wire knock sensor.

If you use the obd2 harness you will still need to add the vtec wiring from shock tower plug
