Default D16Z6 Distributor on B16A1

Ok I have everything for my swap except for the distributor. I would like to know if i cut one of the arms off from the D16Z6 vtec distributor to make it fit on my B16A1 head will it work? I need the car by today and don't have money for a distributor...so will this work?

it should work but you might have to cut 2 legs off
the plug should be different also

It won't work. Your B16A1 is OBD-O, the Z6 distributor is OBD-I. Plugs are completely different, and i think that the internals are different between these two OBD generations. Your best bet is to swap the internals with a CRX Si distributor or maybe take an 90-91 Integra distributor and cut off one of the mounting legs so that it'll bolt on.
