you don't have a clue as to what you are saying.
the gsr/type r are the same stroke...and yes they will work.although i think the gsr crank is lighter"but don't quote me on that".
you can use the gsr/type r crank and rods and just get a custom piston or you can use stock piston and get custom rods.they are all kinds of ways to do it.

yeah but if the stroke is different compared to the b16 stroke then with the same rods it might hit the head so im going to have check to see what the stroke for the type r is. does anyone know compared to the b16 stroke? if it is different then ill have to get custom rods longer or shorter. its kinda a bad idea now that i think about it. what about the crank journals? i mean will they actually sit into a b16 block?
man the stroke on a b16 is 77mm and on a gsr/type r is 87.2
the difference is 10.2mm.
you make the difference up in the stroke by using custom rods or pistons
or just pistons.if you want to just use the oem piston's...just get a custom rod.
BETTER YET JUST DO A SEARCH....and you will see what i am telling you
is right.

yeah i couldnt find the stroke lenghts. you know them so this wont work. well it would but there is not really any point i guess because i dont know anyone who would make custom rods for this app.
you would go with a custom piston, any piston manufacture will make a custom piston...
Take my advice and stick with a one eight block/crank if you want more displacement....
The process/cost of sticking a B18 crank ina B16A block is much more of a hassle than it is worthy. You have to worry about custom bushings for your rods, custom forged pistons, possible oil over consuming from the rings etc....
