How would you say it compares to hondata? Is programing the chips a pain. I heard you have to upgrade chips with every mod.
Thanks

Well you have to burn a new chip when you make a change to the maps.. If you get the 29c256 chips you can reuse them.. If just went to the AEM EMS computer so that I wouldnt have to keep burning chips..

do you have a list of things that are needed to get started.

like what all do you have to do, i have a crx with a b16a obd0

im running a zdyne 1 wire, do i have to buy a chipped ecu to get started with something like this? or can i take the chip out of my zdyne and make turbo edit chips? how much was the chip burner and where did you get it?

Im not sure what you have to do with the zdyne computer.. I just used a obd0 pm6 ecu and chipped it out and burnt turboedit chips for it..

I used a burner called Willem.. Check them out at willem.org

whats the deal with adding a serial port to the ecu,

can you do real time edits without having to burn a chip each time?

Err.. I have heard that Jason Parker built something that will allow you to do real time tuning or something like that but im not sure.. When I had the serial port on my ecu it was just for datalogging..

well i just went out to the car, the ecu is a pm8 (hf ecu)

where the socket is at on my ecu, there is a 40 pin chip,

when i looked at my board, the ecu chip is 24 pin, not 28 will turbo edit work on a 24 pin ecu?
